Douglas Sedam
When Douglas Sedam began working in the mortgage lending industry in 1986, he knew instantly this would be a lifetime career. His love for helping people and natural tendency to work hard made him a top producer at a large California Savings and Loan Association, where he was employed for several years. He earned a coveted membership in the President's Club his first year and every year since.
To better serve his clients, Douglas soon left retail mortgage lending for wholesale mortgage banking. He wanted to offer a wider selection of mortgage products to suit his clients' specific needs. The change enabled him to work with a variety of lending institutions to offer many types and styles of loans.
He has over the years added additional service to his clients such real estate sales, insurance (life, disability, small group medical, etc.), and financial investments (IRA’s, Variable Life, College Savings Plans, 401K’s, etc.) making The Paseo Financial Group truly a ONE STOP SHOP in financial services that it is today for his valued clients.
Douglas and Melanie Sedam love living in the Santa Clarita Valley. They have been active supporters of many philanthropic foundations here in the Santa Clarita Valley and are members of Grace Baptist Church. They have raised two children, Derek – who is just finishing up school at Pepperdine University, and Kebra – who is currently attending Yale University. Douglas' easy-going manner, warm sense of humor, and keen blend of knowledge concerning residential lending have endeared him to friends, business colleagues and clients alike. Douglas is a licensed DRE Real Estate Broker, and carries his CA Insurance License, and Securities License as well. Melanie Sedam is a Branch Manager of the Valencia Office for First Priority Financial – and is approved to do both Conventional and FHA financing through ~80 of the major mortgage banks and lending institutions in the United States
